Treatments

I offer a variety of treatments to keep your teeth healthy, strong, and beautiful. Whether you're experiencing gum disease, sensitive teeth, or are looking for a brighter smile, I'll take the time to listen to you and provide care tailored to your needs and situation. Read more about the treatments I offer below.

  • Prevention is all about keeping your teeth and gums healthy and preventing problems before they arise. The dental hygienist will carefully examine your teeth and remove plaque and tartar with professional cleanings. Where necessary, a fluoride treatment will be applied to provide additional protection against cavities. You will also receive clear instructions and advice for your own oral care. This way, preventative care helps keep your teeth strong and healthy.

  • Gingivitis: Gingivitis is an inflammation of the gums, often caused by plaque. Fortunately, it's easily treatable! During treatment, the dental hygienist removes plaque and tartar, provides practical tips for better oral care, and discusses how to keep your gums healthy. With regular checkups and proper home care, gingivitis can usually be completely resolved.

Periodontitis: Periodontitis is a more serious inflammation of the gums and jawbone, often caused by plaque and tartar. The dental hygienist treats periodontitis by thoroughly removing plaque and tartar, both above and below the gumline, and possibly below
Anesthesia. You will also receive advice on how to best care for your mouth at home. Regular checkups and professional aftercare prevent further damage, but unfortunately, the lost jawbone cannot grow back.

  • If your gums have receded, you may experience pain when chewing or touching your teeth. You may also notice sensitivity when eating or drinking hot, cold, or sweet foods. Receding gums expose the necks or roots of your teeth. These contain nerve endings, which explains the sensitivity. Your dental hygienist can determine the cause of the problem and, if necessary, apply a protective layer. Specific toothpastes or mouthwashes can also be recommended to help reduce sensitivity.

  • Many people visit their dental hygienist to improve their smile. The hygienist can, for example, remove tartar and plaque, making teeth look whiter and fresher. They can also advise on teeth whitening or other ways to combat discoloration. In this way, the hygienist not only helps with dental health but also with a radiant smile.

  • Bad breath can be unpleasant in everyday life. A dental hygienist can investigate the cause, such as tongue coating or inflamed gums. By thoroughly cleaning and providing tips for good oral care, the hygienist can help freshen your breath. Sometimes, special mouthwashes or toothpastes are also recommended to reduce unpleasant odors.

  • Children can visit the dental hygienist from a young age to get used to visits. Together, we count their teeth and provide parents with information on important oral care topics. By guiding children early, many fears and oral problems can be prevented. We do this by, among other things, providing brushing lessons and, if necessary, applying a protective sealant to the molars.

  • The dental hygienist can also help with special situations, such as fear of treatment, pregnancy, braces, implants, or certain medical conditions. By informing us of this in advance, we can schedule sufficient time to answer questions and perform the appropriate treatments.
