The GBT method (Guided Biofilm Therapy) is a systematic, minimally invasive dental cleaning method in which the dental hygienist first uses a dye to visualize the plaque (biofilm). This plaque is then removed using an air polisher, a device that uses a combination of warm water, air, and a special powder. Old, hard tartar is then removed ultrasonically or with manual instruments, resulting in a comfortable, painless treatment and healthier teeth.If it is painful or sensitive during treatment, this can be indicated to explore the options.
